Lectrix has launched the NDuro electric scooter in India and the scooter looks promising. The scooter is priced from Rs 59,999 (ex-showroom).

Design

The scooter gets a sporty design language which is highlighted by the aggressive panels on the front apron and the round LED headlight. It gets a long single-piece seat which looks comfortable enough for two large adults along with split grab rails. You will also notice leg guards which are attached on either side of the floorboard which itself looks spacious. The tail-section is slim and looks very sporty.

Battery

The Lectric NDuro is available in two battery packs: a 2.3kWh and a 3kWh version. The 2.3kWh battery returns an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 90km on a full charge while the 3kWh version delivers an IDC range of 117km on a full charge. The battery is paired with a hub-mounted motor which delivers a claimed top-speed of 65kmph.

Underpinnings

The scooter rides on 12-inch steel wheels on both ends and gets tubeless tyres. It gets a telescopic fork and twin-shock absorbers.

Features

The Lectrix NDuro gets an LCD instrument cluster which shows basic information such as speedometer, odometer, range and battery status. It also gets connectivity features which allow for live location tracking, emergency SOS, detailed ride analytics, and anti-theft alerts. The Lectrix NDuro also gets hill-hold assist which is a very useful feature in Indian riding conditions moreover, it gets a large 42-litres of underseat storage.

Lectrix NDuro Battery Subscription

Lectric offers a BaaS model which means a Battery-as-a-service model. This allows you to get the battery on a subscription basis which reduces the initial purchasing cost of the scooter. The company has provided the customers with two options:

  1. Battery Leasing: Customers can either choose to rent the battery or subscribe on a monthly basis.

  2. Battery Swapping+Leasing: As the name suggests, you can either rent or subscribe the battery and you can use the brand’s swapping station to swap the discharged battery for a fully charged one which reduces the range anxiety of the customer.

Competitors

The Lectric NDuro goes against the likes of other affordable electric scooters such as the Ola S1X and the recently launched S1Z in India
