Ducati Panigale on rolls now, production starts in Bologna, Italy

After raising curtains last November (2011), finally Ducati has started the production Ducati Panigale at its operating plant at Bologna, Italy. Doctor Valentino Rossi, an expert bike rider of Ducati Bikes, got the luckiest with this bike, who was first to ride. According to reports the test drive by Doctor Rossi was witnessed by full team of Ducati Bikes including Mr Gabriele Del Torchio (President, Ducati), Mr Claudio Domenicali (General Director, Ducati) and Mr Silvano Fini (Plant Director, Ducati). There are three variants of Panigale launched under the brand name, 1199 Panigale, 1199 Panigale S, and 1199 Panigale S Tricolor.

According to Mr. Gabriele Del Torchio, President Ducati Bikes, the launch of Ducati Panigale is undoubtedly one of the highly anticipated project in the history of Ducati Bikes which depicts Ducati’s vision and exhibits its excellence in the competent world. According to him Panigale is the perfect illustration of classic Italian style that depicts powerful performance enriched with safety measures.

Talking of the features adorned in Ducati Panigale, the most impressive feature of Panigale is frame that reduces its weight and churns out the power of 195 hp. It is reported that Ducati Panigale is energized with Superquadro engine that is reported to be the most powerful twin cylinder which is introduced in this bike. The reason of naming it as Superquadro is due to its additional dimensions 112mm x 60.8mm L Twin. Other additional features enriched in Panigale include ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DCT), Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Engine Brake Control (EBC), and Ride by Wire throttle system.

The electronic front suspension adorned in Panigale can easily be adjusted according to spring length and damping ratio. As far as the pricing of these bikes are concerned, 1199 Panigale is available at a price tag of $24,000, 1199 Panigale ABS variant at $25,195, the 1199 Panigale S ABS variant at $31,595, the 1199 Panigale S Tricolore variant  at $37,585.
