Italian bike maker, Ducati, has launched its new model Monster 795 in India. Initially, this Italian bike maker priced its Monster 795 for Rs. 6.99 lakhs, which was launched at Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi. But the response was too less for Monster 795 at that price, later this Italian bike maker announced that they are reducing Rs. 1 lakh on first 300 units of Ducati bikes. Now the Monster 795 is priced at 5.99 lakhs. After the price cut was announced on Monster 795, the response for this bike is increasing, according to the dealers of Ducati bikes in India.
Ducati's Monster 795 is directly imported from Thailand as one completely built unit, as Ducati has its facility center in Thailand. One good thing about importing through Thailand is that India and Thailand signed on a mutual agreement that both countries will have a free trade policy. So the vehicles will have only 20% import duty charges when this bike will be imported from Thailand. Before this agreement was signed between these two countries, 60% of import tax duty was charged on total cost of the product. If Ducati exported its bikes from Bologna, then Ducati company would incur more import duty which would affect their selling price of Ducati's Monster 795 in India. c monster is assembled at Ducati's Thailand facility center, but its part are imported from Italy, India, and of course from Thailand.
Monster 795 from Ducati has a weight of 167 kg. Monster 795 is fitted with 803cc air cooled V-twin engine. Monster 795 is capable of producing 87bhp and 78Nm. Monster 795 comes with long handle and shorter body height, for making long-distance drives more comfortable. This also helps for easy maneuvering ability which would be very handy in Indian traffic conditions. Ducati Monster 795 is set to give tough competition to other bike makers like Kawasaki Ninja 650R and also Hyosung GT 650R, who also lauched thier vehicles in India.
