Honda has introduced five new motorcycles at the Revfest that also include the all new CB Hornet 160R, of which we reported yesterday. The unveiling of the bike is the step towards inclining the global legacy of ‘fun motorcycling’ with a Hornet bike.
The manufacturer seeks this product to be a youth magnet due to its dynamic mass forward design. Honda CB Hornet also sports tough & sharp shape with position lamps, LCD Digital meter, new wave disc with CBS, wide rear tyre and short edgy tail with ‘X’ shaped LED.
The Hornet also houses a high performance Honda 160cc engine that offers quick acceleration. It might be the same 162.71cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SI engine with 5-speed gearbox and some alterations in configuration. More power and torque is expected to be produced by this motor to make the bike faster and competitive to Bajaj Pulsar AS 150, which is the most powerful motorcycle of the segment with 16.8bhp from 150cc mill.
The appearance of the machine is inspired from the CX-01 concept that appeared at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. On the other hand, it is built on tubular diamond frame and is fitted with telescopic front forks and rear mono-shock absorber. The company is yet to publicize the remaining details of the motorcycle but we are expecting Honda CB Hornet 160R to sport a price tag of around Rs. 76,000. It is expected to be launched around the festive season.
