The Japanese two wheeler manufacturer, Honda Motorcycles is working on a new naked sport motorcycle. The company has already patented the design of its new monster and it seems to be based on the lines of the new CBR300R.
Like the naked versions of other Honda CBR machines, it will also share the platform with CBR300R and the company might name the bike as CB300R. Apart from the front fairing, the whole bike is expected to be similar to the full faired machine including the seat, fuel tank, rear panels, tail lamp, exhaust pipe and other.
The CB300R will also share the new 286cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine with CBR300R, which will be mated with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine churns out 30.4bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm along with a peak torque of 27Nm at 7,250rpm.
The naked bike will get all the advanced features like digital instrumentation, front and rear disc brakes, antilock braking system (ABS), mono-shock suspension at the rear and many more. The bike will be priced below its faired version and will be introduced as an entry level performance bike in all the major markets along with the emerging markets as well.
