The new colours are Imperial Red Metallic and Matte Axis Gray Metallic. With this, the Honda Livo is now available in 2 variants and 6 colours.

Celebrating the first anniversary of the Honda Livo, HMSI today introduced 2 new colours for the bike, namely Imperial Red Metallic and Matte Axis Gray Metallic. Now, the stylish 110cc motorcycle is available in 6 colours, including these new options.

Commenting on the occasion, Y. S. Guleria, senior vice president, sales & marketing, HMSI, said, “In the past 12 months, the LIVO successfully went against the wind and outperformed, while the 100-110cc segment was under stress and faced a negative growth. With 2.5 lac units sold in a year, LIVO is now Honda’s best-selling motorcycle in the segment & the new exciting colour options will further enhance LIVO’s sporty character and youth appeal.”

Honda has gained significant market share in the commuter segment after the launch of the Livo. Thanks to the sporty styling of the bike, it has received a favourable response from young customers. Coming to the market performance, Honda has sold 2.5 lakh units of the bike since its launch a year ago.

The sporty styling of the Honda Livo is complimented with an angular headlamp and artificial air ducts on the bikini fairing. The fuel tank has also been made more flamboyant with shrouds and the 3D metallic Honda wing. The rear design is sleek and sharp, and looks jauntier with its short side-slung muffler.

Powering the Honda Livo is the same 109.2cc 4-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine which also does duty on other 110cc Honda bikes. The motor comes mated to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox and makes 8.3PS of power at 7,500rpm and delivers a peak torque of 8.63Nm at 5,500rpm.

The bike runs on 18" alloy wheels with 80/100 section tubeless tyres, and both the wheels have been equipped with 130mm drum brake units. However, it is also available in a disc brake trim with a 240mm disc brake up front. The bike gets telescopic front and spring loaded hydraulic rear suspension setup like other commuter bikes available in the market. Other key features of the bike include electric start, viscous air filter and maintenance free battery.
