Honda Motorcycle has teamed with HDFC ERGO to provide added convenience and benefits on two-wheeler insurance to its customers.

Honda Motorcycle Partners With HDFC ERGO for benefits on two-wheeler cover

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with HDFC ERGO General Insurance, one of the leading private sector non-life insurance providers in India. Now, HDFC ERGO is the preferred insurance partner for Honda two-wheelers in the country, claiming to provide extra savings, convenience and benefits along with faster processing. Present at the MoU signing ceremony were Yadvinder Singh Guleria (senior vice president – sales & marketing, HMSI); Ritesh Kumar (managing director and CEO, HDFC ERGO) and Anuj Tyagi (executive director, HDFC ERGO) along with other dignitaries.

The highlighted benefits that Honda customers will get with the HDFC ERGO comprehensive two-wheeler cover include competitive premium along with 40 per cent saving on own-damage premium over erstwhile tariff. Moreover, they will provide a mobile interface and fast ‘turn-around time’ of just 3 days for 100 per cent claim settlement on pan-India basis. The customers will also get unlimited claim settlement in the insured period and zero depreciation benefit on HDFC ERGO two-wheeler insurance.

Commenting on this partnership, Guleria said, “The two-wheeler insurance segment is rapidly evolving with renewals and multi-year policies on the rise. More & more customers now want extra convenience in their Honda 2Wheeler’s insurance policy. Our partnership with HDFC Ergo General Insurance Company will give our valued customers more convenience even in their 2Wheeler insurance policy. This is truly a win-win situation for our customers who will get 40% saving on insurance premium (own-damage) and near-cashless claim settlement with the convenient digital interface. Driven by this partnership with HDFC Ergo, we aim to further delight our customers this festive season.”

With this strategic partnership, Honda aims to make new insurance, claim settlement and policy renewal hassle-free. Other benefits of the teaming will provide near-cashless repairs at 4650-plus Honda two-wheeler network outlets across India. The alliance will also help drive awareness about the importance of motor insurance and ensure that two-wheeler owners renew their policies on time. Like many other major players in the general insurance sector, HDFC ERGO also offers long-term two-wheeler insurance cover for up to 2 or 3 years. Moreover, it also provides robust online insurance support with instant policy issuance, backed with best-in-class services, which can also be monitored online or on a mobile app.
