Honda has recently announced that it will be unveiling the updated version of its aggressive streetfighter - CB500F at the upcoming EICMA that is scheduled from 19th of this month in Milan, Italy. The manufacturer claims that the bike has been built on “Mechanical and Aggressive” Styling concept on which the recently unveiled CBR 500R was also crafted.
The 2016 Honda CB500F will arrive with numerous cosmetic changes and receive an even sharper and aggressive design philosophy. From the teaser image, it looks that the headlamp section will carry a more predatory appearance than the existing version and will host LED units with the same incorporated at tail lamp section as well. Besides, the bike will also get a newly designed exhaust to add some more premiumness into its character. The seating has also been revised and the sporty split seats will now come with a sharp pointed tail end.
Talking of power, the bike will be propelled on the same 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that comes mated to a six-speed transmission. The braking tasks will be taken care of by a 320mm disc brake up front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear, with ABS as a standard unit. The 41mm forks and a monoshock at the front and rear respectively will handle the ride quality and comfort of the rider and pillion.
As per sources, the new CB 500F will be marketed in Europe and North America only and Honda doesn’t have any plans to bring this model to India at present. Stay tuned to get more updates.
