Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has sold over 70 lakh units of the CB Shine in India. To celebrate the feat, it has now launched a limited edition model of the popular 125cc motorcycle. The special edition CB Shine is available in both drum and disc variants for a premium of just Rs 300 over their respective standard models. The limited edition CB Shine Drum variant is priced at Rs 59,083 while the Disc version will set you back by Rs 63,743 (ex-showroom Delhi).
For the small premium, Honda offers premium styling in the form of a colour coded grab rail and new decals on the side panels and fuel tank. The bike is available in two dual-tone colour options - Black with Imperial Red Metallic and Black with Spear Silver Metallic. Aside from these, the bike remains mechanically unchanged.
It's powered by the same 124.73cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that produces 10.3PS at 7500rpm and 10.3Nm at 5500rpm. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Its suspension setup comprises of a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Anchoring the bike are 130mm drum brake at both ends. You could even opt for the top-spec Honda CB Shine which features a 240mm disc brake up front and a 130mm drum unit at the rear. CBS is offered as standard on both variants.
In terms of competition, the Honda CB Shine Limited Edition competes against the Bajaj Discover 125, Yamaha Saluto 125 and Hero Glamour.
