It will be the first time that the Black edition of the Bonneville will go on sale in India
Among the few two-wheeler brands to launch new motorcycles in the Indian two-wheeler market during the COVID-19 lockdown is Triumph. The British brand will be riding in the Black edition of the Triumph Bonneville T100 and the T120 tomorrow. Triumph hasn’t revealed prices for its retro bikes yet but we expect the Bonneville T100 to be priced at Rs 8.90 lakh and the Bonneville T120 to carry a sticker price of Rs 10 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).

As the name suggests, the Black edition motorcycles drop chrome and other shiny bits for an all-black theme. The blacked-out elements on the bike includes the engine, most of the body panels, underpinnings, exhaust and even the mirror! Apart from the visual difference there has been no changes made to the bike mechanically. An interesting fact is that the Black Editions of the Bonneville will go on sale in India for the first time although they have been on sale in foreign markets for many years.

The Bonneville T100 Black is powered by a 900cc, parallel-twin motor producing 55PS and 76.7Nm of torque. The bigger Bonnie gets power from a 1,200cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin heart pumping out 80PS and 105Nm. Both the motors are BS6-compliant and don’t have any competition in the premium retro motorcycle segment.
