The BS6-compliant motorcycles now cost Rs 1,050 more
- Both remain cosmetically and mechanically unchanged.
- Both had received a price hike of Rs 2,500 in June.
- Apache RR 310, RTR 160 4V and RTR 160 see a price increase as well.
TVS has once again hiked the prices of its BS6 models. After the Apache RR 310, RTR 160 4V and RTR 160, TVS has increased the prices of the Apache RTR 180 and Apache RTR 200 4V. This is the second price hike for the BS6 motorcycles. TVS had increased the prices of both motorcycles by Rs 2,500 back in June. Here is the revised price list:
Despite the price increase, there are no cosmetic or mechanical changes to either motorcycle. The Apache RTR 180 got a new lease of life when it was launched with a BS6-compliant fuel-injected motor. The 177.4cc air-cooled single cylinder motor now delivers 16.79PS and 15.5Nm, 0.17PS higher than before.
Its larger cousin now comes with just a fuel-injected BS6 197.75cc air and oil-cooled motor that offers 20.5PS and 16.8Nm. It makes 1.3Nm less torque than before. As part of its BS6 update, the Apache RTR 200 4V also got a new LED headlamp and Glide Through Technology.
It’s not just the performance motorcycles that have seen a price revision, even the Jupiter and NTorq 125 scooters now cost more. Other than TVS, Yamaha has also recently increased prices of its BS6 models. Head here for updated prices.
