India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motors intends to achieve a top level of two-wheeler business and escape taking on its two strong challenger Hero Honda and Bajaj Auto. The company's top management expects this to make its place gradually in the market against two major competitors; hero honda & bajaj auto. In last fiscal, TVS Motor has launched its two new vehicles ; TVS Jive which is an auto clutch bike and the unisex metal-bodied scooter TVS Wego, both were together launched in India. The major auto makers, Bajaj and Hero Honda are highly spiriting in terms of sales aims in the new fiscal. Bajaj has already declared it intends to sell 4 million two and three wheelers in the new fiscal year, while Hero Honda is planning to set up a new greenfield factory, because the company's other plants are already working to capacity such as Haridwar, Gurgaon and Dharuhera. The market has crossed the 10 million units level in last month out of which Hero Honda sold 4.6 million units, Bajaj Auto 2.5 million & TVS has sold 1.5 million units in the financial year 2009-10. TVS Motor is going to work on the strategy of setting less targets but increased inconsistently with enough geographical spread to ignore the risk . The company's plan is to sell 2 million two-wheelers in the new financial year and will invest around Rs. 200 crore in adding capacity at its factory in Hosur, Karnataka. TVS is a considerable third largest player in the Indian two wheeler's market and focusing to strengthen its position from here on. It should focus on developing products that will create a new benchmark and take a particular category to the next level. The key factor of the company to grow in this market is the Differentiation. On the other hand, Yamaha Motor is planning to launch two new upcoming bikes Yamaha SZ, Yamaha YBR R125.
