Earlier, we reported that TVS is working on a new machine to expand its Apache series. It is assumed that the new Apache will be based on a Draken naked sports bike concept, which was unveiled in Auto Expo 2014. TVS Motors is looking forward to bring this next gen Apache in the coming year as the bike was spotted testing few days back. The Apache series is a good R&D of TVS Fiero.
As the name suggests, the bike is expected to boast 200cc liquid cooled engine that will be mated to a 6-speed transmission as showcased in Draken concept. Other features may include the side mounted rear mono shock and the bike will run on Michelin soft tyres that offers strong grip on the road. The bike may also feature Disc brakes at both front and rear sides and we can expect it to have Combi Braking System (CBS) and Anti-Lock Braking system (ABS). The specs of the bike has not been revealed yet, but expected to be good performer, thanks to the inputs from BMW Motorrad.

We believe that the company might continue the production of the 160cc variant but may replace its 180cc variant with the new 200cc displacement. Coming to the price, the new Apache RTR 200 may be priced somewhere close to 1 lac mark and will lock its horn with Bajaj Pulsar 200NS and KTM Duke 200. TVS Motor might unveil the bike during the upcoming Auto Expo. Apart from Apache RTR 200, company is also working to bring 2015 TVS Victor.
