The Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 features more significant upgrades compared to the RR310
TVS Racing has announced that it will introduce its race-spec RR 310 and the race-tuned Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 at INMRC this weekend. Developed with learnings from TVS’ experience in racing, both the bikes make significantly more power than their stock counterparts.
TVS’s One Make Championship will have 12 riders astride the race-spec RR 310, competing for the championship over five rounds. The race-spec RR 310 churns out 38PS (4PS over the stock version) with a top speed of 175kmph, whereas the stock RR 310 tops out at 160kmph. Upgrades include a race-tuned exhaust, improved induction system, a special ECU remap and modified rear-set footpegs for race ergonomics.
Visually, the bike remains the same with some minor changes to shed weight, like getting rid of the headlamp, tail lamp, turn indicators, mirrors and number plate holders. The suspension and tyre setup though, are same as the stock model.
On the other hand, 16 riders who have qualified for the Novice category and 16 racers competing in the Ladies One Make Series will be given the new race-tuned Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0. The race-tuned Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 pumps out 24PS (3.5PS over the stock variant) and can clock a top speed of 145kmph as compared to the standard version’s 112kmph. The RTR 200 race bike gets even better equipment that includes a slipper clutch, modified camshaft, retuned front and rear shocks, intake and exhaust system, retuned carburetor and an optimized ignition system. Moreover, the bike also gets 17-inch Pirelli tyres with hydraulic dampers.
Additionally, 11 journalists will compete over three rounds of the INMRC, in the second edition of TVS Young Media Racer Program, astride race-spec RTR 200s. Here’s the bikemaker’s official press release:
