Take a closer look at this mean-looking special edition Diavel from Team Red
A couple of days back, Ducati launched the Diavel 1260 in India and now, the Bolognese bikemaker has taken the wraps off its special edition called the Diavel 1260 S Black And Steel.
This special edition features bright yellow components, unlike the fiery red paint synonymous with Ducati.
The most flashy bit on the Diavel 1260 S Black And Steel is its yellow trellis frame that pops out in the overall blacked-out attire.

Then we have the bright undertail panel perfectly complementing the frame.
It even gets a special seat with a yellow badge.
Yellow accents are also found on the belly pan and the alloy wheels.
Besides the yellow bits, the Black And Steel edition combines exquisite matte black and glossy grey panels.
Other than the cosmetic changes, the Black And Steel edition is essentially an untampered Diavel 1260 S, still powered by a 1,262 L-twin motor putting out 162PS and 129Nm. We think Ducati should’ve thrown in an aftermarket exhaust too, giving the bike even more character.
The bike gets a 3.5-inch TFT dash which lets you toggle through electronic aids like launch control, quickshifter, traction control, cornering ABS, wheelie control, and cruise control.
Since this is the S version, you get top-notch Ohlins suspension at both ends along with lighter Marchesini wheels. The alloys are wrapped in Pirelli Rosso 3 rubber.
For shedding speed, the bike employs twin 320mm discs up front and a 265mm single disc at the rear, both shod with Brembo calipers.
The BS6 Diavel 1260 S was launched in India at Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom), a massive Rs 2.24 lakh more than its BS4 model. As for the Black And Steel edition, we expect Ducati to launch it here by the end of this year, probably at a premium of about Rs 30,000 over the standard 1260 S.
