This is the first price increase since their launch
- Honda Activa 125 was the first scooter to make the BS6 switch.
- SP Shine was Honda’s first bike to meet the stringent emission norms.
- All three two-wheelers come with a bunch of features, some of them segment firsts.
Honda has silently increased the prices of the BS6 Activa 125, Activa 6G, and the SP125. The increment is rather small and amounts to about Rs 500. To put things into perspective, the Honda Acitva was launched at a starting price of Rs 67,490 for the base model. The Activa 6G, on the other hand, retailed at Rs 63,912, while the SP125 would set you back by Rs 72,900.
All three models have been significantly reworked with the BS6 update. The Active 125, for instance, features fuel-injection, start-stop system, LED headlamp, semi-digital instrument console, and an external fuel filler cap. You can read about it here. The SP125 receives the same treatment and is currently the most feature-packed motorcycle in its class. New looks, better features, and a BS6-compliant engine have really upped the ante for the bike.
All said and done, the best-selling scooter in Honda’s portfolio finally received its biggest update yet. A BS6-compliant motor with an ACG starter, bigger wheels, an engine kill switch, a longer seat, an external fuel-filler cap, and a reworked rear section should give you the idea.
