These are mere aesthetic versions of the two sporty two-wheelers
After a long time, Honda has released not one but two MotoGP-liveried two-wheelers. Yes, the Japanese bikemaker has launched the Hornet 2.0 and Dio in Repsol HRC livery. The price increment for both is around Rs 2,000 - Rs 2,500. Here are the exact ex-showroom Delhi prices of both:
This is the first time Honda has released a MotoGP-liveried scooter in India. Earlier, the treatment was only found on the Unicorn and CBR250R. Both Repsol Edition Hondas look rather spectacular. The Dio perfectly fits the bill of a MotoGP pit scooter. A darker shade for the wheels would have made it a lot more appealing.
It is befitting that the livery is found on the sportiest motorcycle Honda India manufactures: the Hornet 2.0. It is the Japanese bikemaker’s contender in the 180-200cc segment. On paper, it might not have the performance to oust the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V or the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, but it does have better foundations, boasting of great handling. We are still waiting to get our hands on the Honda naked, which should happen soon enough. Stay tuned for when the ride review drops on BikeDekho.com.
