Honda’s MotoGP based street legal motorcycle RC213V-S was delivered to its very first customer, John Brown at Honda Racing Headquarter in the UK. According to reports, Honda RC213V-S is being manufactured in limited editions. Brown was among the first persons to register on a pre-order website, right after the bike went on sale from July, 13th 2015. Fortunately, he got a call from Honda and received the good news that he will be the first person in the world to get the delivery of the street legal machine.
John Brown, a huge devotee of Honda motorcycles is an avid collector and is an owner of Honda Motorcycles dealership at Manchester. He already has the new RC30, VTR1000 SP1 and SP2, CBR900RR Fireblade and VF1000F in his garage.
John Brown, commenting on becoming the world's first customer for the RC213V-S, stated: “When I first heard of this project I thought ‘when this happens I have to have one of these'. It is a truly amazing opportunity to own a piece of HRC racing history. As soon as it went on sale I registered my interest on the website, and when I received the call from Honda to say my order was accepted it was a very special day for me. I joined my family business as a 17-year old and have been a Honda dealer ever since. My dealership has been one of the top-three in the UK for many years and the bike will be a great addition to my existing collection. I'd like to thank all the people at Honda for making this dream come true.”
RC213V-S has been under development for past three years and has evolved by taking inputs from Honda’s current MotoGP riders Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa. Each RC213V-S is completely hand built at the Honda’s Kumamoto factory. The company even added headlights, brake lights, turn indicators and mirrors to make it a street legal vehicle.
The bike is equipped with a 4-cylinder, DOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine that generates 172.60bhp of maximum power along with an optional sports kit which generates up to 209.1bhp. The Honda RC213V-S is priced at Rs. 1.48 Crore.
