Likely to be called the Honda NX200, it will be the Japanese manufacturer’s most affordable adventure bike in India
[UPDATE: Honda has launched its most affordable ADV in India, called the CB200X. You can read all about it in our launch report here.]
It’s going to be an exciting day for adventure enthusiasts as Honda India is all set to launch its most affordable ADV based on the Hornet 2.0, likely to be called the Honda NX200 (going by the trademark filings).
The upcoming Honda ADV is likely to command a premium of around Rs 15,000 over the Hornet 2.0, which is pegged at Rs 1,31,182 (ex-showroom Delhi). This Hornet-based adventure bike will be more of a softroader than an out-an-out off-road-friendly adventure tourer like the Royal Enfield Himalayan. We’ve summarised everything you need to know about this bike in our pre-launch summary.

The Honda NX200 will be the third ADV in the Japanese manufacturer’s portfolio after the large-capacity Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and the middleweight Honda CB500X. We’ll have to see if the upcoming bike is as purposeful as the other two. Nonetheless, Honda is on the right path to establishing a base in the promising small-capacity ADV segment.
The NX200 will go up against the Hero XPulse 200T. If you’re keen on off-roading, then the Hero XPulse 200 will be a better alternative. The launch event will commence iln a few hours from now, so stay tuned.
