Confirmed: 2016 Ducati 959 Panigale and Hypermotard 939

The renowned Italian superbike manufacturer, Ducati had earlier announced that it will be showcasing nine models at the EICMA motor show that is scheduled for November, 2016. Recently, some reports had revealed that two of these nine models will be the 959 Panigale and Hypermotard 939 as their names were seen in the emission certificates, confirming their existence.

The names of the new Ducati models were found in the documents from the California Air Research Board. As per the documentation, the 959 Panigale houses a 955cc engine while the Hypermotard 939 will come loaded with a 937cc mill. Furthermore, the new variant of Hypermotard will come in three versions namely a base model, SP and Hyperstrada. The company has already announced that the Monster 1200R, which was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show is one of the nine models that will be showcased at the upcoming EICMA. A belt-driven cruiser bike which was seen in the spy shots few days ago could be another model of these nine.

These two new models will take the company ‘into segments in which we’re currently not present’, revealed Mr. Claudio Domenicali, CEO, Ducati. The Italian giant has recently uploaded an official video, which says “This is Black?” and shows 16th November date, which could be hinting towards a new black-inspired model. For now, let’s keep patience and wait for November when we will be able to witness the nine exotic models by Ducati.
