Ducati is going to celebrate its 90th anniversary with an around-the-world road trip – called Globetrotter 90 Degree – on the new Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro
Celebrating 90 years of its success, Ducati has planned a distinctive kind of birthday party for itself. The Italian bike maker is organising a 30,000km, 120-day road trip around the world, named Globetrotter 90°. The relay-type journey will start on July 4, 2016 at Borgo Panigale in Italy and conclude at the same place on December 15, 2016. Taking the Trans-Siberian route, the ride will cover Moscow (Russia), Fushiki (Japan), San Francisco (USA), Indianapolis (USA), Summit (USA) and Isle of Man (UK).
For the trip, Ducati has already started registrations, which will shut on June 1, 2016. All the entries will be investigated to find 14 most eligible participants and out of them, seven riders will be further selected to complete this journey in as many stages on Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduros. General requirements to apply for selection are a valid licence to ride the Multistrada and a good experience of long rides, preferably alone.
Apart from that, preference will be given to those who have a well-known blog or contribute to a media house. The company is also keen on the details of social media platforms used by the riders, in order to analyse one’s number of followers and the response on their posts.
To apply for the Ducati Globetrotter 90°, one is required to fill in an online form. Ducati will contact the 14 selected riders and seven out of them will be shortlisted after the final tests.
