Honda has dropped a teaser for the upcoming Honda Activa Electric, giving us a small glimpse into what this upcoming electric scooter could offer. The teaser was a really short one, and it offered a short look at the Activa Electric’s headlight section.
Judging by the teaser, the headlight section looks quite sharp and compact. Although the e-scooter is supposed to be based on the CUV e concept, it seems like the brand has made some tweaks to the design to give the Honda Activa Electric a unique personality.
The e-scooter could likely feature the same specifications as the CUV e, which, for perspective, comes with a 6kW motor that offers a top speed of 80kmph. It features twin 1.3kWh battery packs, which offer a claimed range of 70km. It will take 3 hours to charge the scooter from 0-75 percent.
Underpinnings wise, the CUV e gets a telescopic fork and twin shock-absorbers. Braking duties are taken care of by a 190mm front and 110mm rear disc setup. The Activa Electric will likely feature the same underpinnings as well. In terms of features, the CUV e gets a 7-inch TFT console which offers smartphone connectivity and related features such as call/SMS alerts, navigation and music controls.
We expect the Honda Activa Electric to feature the same electric powertrain, underpinnings and features as the CUV e concept, but in a different package. The Activa Electric will be unveiled on November 27, 2024 and could be launched sometime in 2025. We expect it to be priced around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.3 lakh ex-showroom.
It will go up against other family oriented electric scooters in the market such as the Ather Rizta and TVS iQube Electric.
