Honda's new 110cc bike no competition with splendour and Passion

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Limited(HMSIL)is introducing its new 110cc bike today. The company does not want to make a business relation to Hero Honda. It also has 26 per cent interest in Hero Honda. Shinji Aoyama, president and CEO, HMSIL said," We don't expect pitted against Hero Honda as a joint venture brand. I am not in a complete situation to make a competition. Our position of new model debut is to increase the market itself. HMSIL does not plan for the new model to finish with present models of Hero Honda Splendour and Hero Honda Passion. Otherwise, company will make its own niche segment. I accept that we can activate demand from youngsters with its new 110cc bike, he said. New 110cc bike will be priced at least 10 per cent more than Hero Honda Splendour and Hero Honda Passion. The Hero Honda Splendour is price Rs.39,250(ex-showroom price in New Delhi) and the Hero Honda Passion pro costs around Rs.44,000(ex-showroom price in New Delhi). Honda's sold overall 3-4 million units in a year. Hero Honda splendour is the biggest selling alone brand in a year and it more than million sales yearly. Hero Honda passion is also similarly successful bike in Indian market.
