Ducati India opened its first Desmo Owners Club (D.O.C.) in Mumbai with their first official ride; next will be Pune, Delhi and Bangalore.
With the first official ride starting from the Ducati Dealership in Bandra to Hard Rock Café at Lower Parel, Ducati announced its first Desmo Owners Club (D.O.C.) in India. Popular worldwide, the club is one of the largest official motorcycle communities in the world with over 200 official clubs and 23,000 registered members. Representing the first in India, the Mumbai D.O.C. is the 25th in Asia and the company has scheduled to introduce this exclusive club in Pune, Delhi and Bangalore next.
'Desmo,' the short term for Ducati’s unique and famous Desmodromic valve control, is further abbreviated to D.O.C. in this case and represents the heart of the Italian manufacturer’s loyal and enthusiastic community of owners celebrating their passion for riding. Like its global branches, D.O.C. India also welcomes non-Ducati owners passionate about the iconic brand.
Commenting on this occasion, Ravi Avalur, managing director, Ducati India said, “The Desmo Owners Club is intended for Ducati owners but is open also to owners of other brands who are passionate about Ducati. We’re happy to see this community growing and D.O.C.s beginning to expand across India.”
The D.O.C. members will get together to enjoy new experiences, discover new places and take part in exciting events in India and around the world. Eight D.O.C. Mumbai members are travelling to the 9th edition of World Ducati Week at the Misano World Circuit in Italy next, joining D.O.C. members and Ducatisti from around to world to celebrate Ducati’s 90th anniversary.
