2016 Honda Dio Launched at Rs. 48,264 Ex-Delhi

Honda Two-Wheelers India has launched the 2016 Honda Dio. The scooter has been updated with a new colour named ‘Matt Axis Grey’ and comes with a 3D emblem as well. The refreshed Dio sees no change in its price and Honda will continue to offer it at the same price of Rs. 48,264 Ex-Showroom Delhi. Besides the new Matte Axis Grey colour, the Dio is also available with 4 existing colour options - Jazzy Blue Metallic, Candy Palm Green, Sports Red and Black.
Alterations to the new Dio are only cosmetic and the scooter receives no mechanical changes. Powering the scooter is the same air-cooled, 4-stroke, 109.20cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 8PS of power at 7,000 rpm and 8.77 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Launched in the year 2002, Honda has sold over 10 lakh units of the Dio since its introduction and it is also the No.1 export model of Honda Two-Wheelers India and with destination markets including Latin America (Colombia), South America (Mexico) and India’s neighboring nations, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
Speaking as the dispatches for the new Dio commenced, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice president – sales and marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said, “In line with Honda strategy to delight our customers by refreshing our product portfolio regularly, the new Dio is Honda’s sixth new model of 2016. The new Matt Axis grey colour with value addition of the premium 3D emblem without any additional cost makes it a compelling proposition to own one.”
Other scooters in Honda India’s range include the Activa 3G, Activa, Activa 125 and the Aviator.
