The Ducati Streetfighter V4 is among the most powerful production naked bikes on sale
Lately, Ducati has launched quite a few models in India but all of those belong to the Scrambler bloodline. Well, the brand has now teased one of its top guns for the country, the 2021 Streetfighter V4, on its social media channels, hinting that the flagship naked may debut in India in May itself.
The Streetfighter V4 gets a menacing fascia with LED headlights and biplane wings to keep it planted. The overall design is complemented by the sharp tail section housing the LED tail light.
For 2021, Ducati has plonked a cleaner BS6-compliant 1100 cc Desmosedici Stradale motor on the Streetfighter V4. The engine is rated at 208PS and 123Nm, making it one of the most powerful naked bikes on sale globally. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter.
It’s a no brainer that a motorcycle with such insane performance gets a boatload of electronics. The 2021 Ducati Streetfighter V4 features riding modes, cornering ABS, slide control, launch control, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control as well.
All these features can be accessed via the 5-inch TFT display. Apart from off-the-line data, the dash also gets Bluetooth connectivity so riders can pair their smartphones and access calls, texts, and music.
Leaving no stone unturned, Ducati has sprung the Streetfighter V4 on a 43mm Showa Big Piston Fork with preload, compression, and rebound adjustability. At the rear, it gets a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock. To keep things stable while gunning it, you also get a much-needed steering damper from Sachs. However, the S variant of the Streetfighter V4 gets a better Ohlins NIX-30 fork and an Ohlins TTX36 rear shock.
The single-sided swingarm also adds to the overall pizzaz of the Streetfighter V4. Dropping the anchor for the naked Bologna missile are the 330mm front discs with Brembo Stylema callipers and a 245mm rear disc.
All this witchcraft naturally comes at a hefty price. We expect the 2021 Ducati Streetfighter V4 to cost around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) and take on the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS.
