Bookings for Ducati Panigale Stopped in India

Recent reports reveal that the Ducati has stopped accepting bookings for its Panigale motorcycles in India. According to the dealerships, the Italian bike maker has requested them to not to take any further bookings for Panigale range of motorcycles. Ducati is ready to showcase its nine motorcycles in the upcoming 2015 EICMA motor show next month in Milan, Italy, out of them Ducati 959 Panigale has already been spotted testing recently, which clearly indicates that the company may overhaul the entire range of Panigale soon with new motorcycles being introduced in the Italy next month. The Ducati 899 Panigale is priced at Rs. 13.99 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 959 Panigale is based on the 899 Panigale platform with several design upgrades. It has redesigned front cowl with bigger air scoops and the fairing of the bike is joined under the nose, unlike its previous models. The Ducati 959 Panigale will retain a double sided swingarm like the 899, even brakes and exhaust system of the bike is also carried forward from the 899. As if now, we don’t have any details about the engine of the Panigale 859. The engine of Ducati Panigale 899 makes the maximum power of 150PS and the peak torque of 99Nm. We can expect the Panigale 859 with the bump of 57cc, which may further increase the power to 165PS and torque to 105Nm. The other additions in the Ducati family may include a cruiser motorcycle with belt drive, new variants of Ducati Hypermotard and the rumoured Scrambler 400.
