After re-entering the giant Indian auto sector with its extravagant bike lineup, Ducati has completely turned down the idea of bringing its machines via Completely Knocked Down (CKD) Route. Contrary to this, the Italian auto major will continue to import its bikes through its production facility located in Thailand. The reason it doesn't see any chance of CKD operations might be that India and Thailand both share a free trade agreement in which there is less or no taxation duty, hence the prices remain competitive in terms of CKD operations.
Presently, Ducati bikes are sold via four dealerships in the country, which are situated in Delhi NCR and Mumbai. With plans of further expanding its domestic network in the next few months, the company is looking forward to open stores in several Indian cities such as Kolkata, Indore, Jaipur, Goa, Cochin and Chandigarh. Besides this, the company will also be opening its dealerships in three cities namely Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad anytime soon.
Ducati offers its 15 premium bikes in India that cater almost every class of individuals who carry within a pure biking passion. The range starts from the urban street Scrambler and ends up till the mighty Superbike Panigale. To stay even more competitive in the well-flourished Indian two-wheeler sector, the manufacturer regularly conduct rides and programs for its buyers and bike enthusiasts.
