Ducati has started booking for the new Hyperstrada 939 in India with a token amount of Rs 2 lakh.
Ducati is soon going to launch its new Hypermotard 939 in India and it will be priced near Rs 12 lakh. The bike will replace the existing 821cc model from the Italian manufacturer's lineup. Though the company hasn't made any official announcement on this, dealers have started bookings for the bike with a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. Dealers are taking bookings for the bike and giving a delivery date of September 2016.
The Ducati Hyperstrada is a true hybrid between supermoto and adventure motorcycle, taking design inspiration from both the Hypermotard and the Multistrada. The bike gets most of the mechanical components from its previous generation, except the new 937cc, Testastretta 11°, L-twin engine with DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing). The motor makes 113PS at 9,000rpm and delivers a peak torque of 97.9Nm at 7,500rpm. The advanced Euro IV-compliant mill comes coupled with a six-speed gearbox via a slipper type clutch.
Built on a trellis frame, the Ducati Hyperstrada 939 gets 41mm USD forks at the front and a fully adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike runs on stylish 10-spoke alloy wheels which come with sticky Pirelli Scorpion Trail rubber. Braking duties are handled by a 245mm disc brake at the rear and dual 320mm discs with radially mounted Brembo Monobloc callipers up front. Moreover, it comes loaded with features like 3 riding modes, ABS, traction control and ride-by-wire technology.
As per reports, Ducati might also launch the XDiavel along with the Hyperstrada at the same time in India.
