Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro Launched In India At Rs 17.44 Lakh

The wild side of Ducati, the Multistrada 1200 Enduro has been designed to take its rider beyond where the asphalt stops.

Introducing its first true adventure motorcycle in India, Ducati has launched the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro in the country. The bike has been priced at Rs 17.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is now available at Ducati dealerships in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. Designed to take its rider beyond where the asphalt stops, the Multistrada Enduro is the perfect partner for your long adventurous rides.

Commenting on the launch of the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro, Ravi Avalur, managing director, Ducati India, said, “In 2016, with the Multistrada 1200 & 1200 S we are already the leaders in the large sports touring motorcycle category. The new Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro is built on such a platform that it can be ride easily on any type of terrain and is able to take the challenges of both off-road and on-road riding. It runs on 19’’ front and 17’’ rear spoked wheels and both gets a travel of 200mm, ensuring superior comfort in every condition. The bike gets a semi-active suspension setup at the front while the rear gets Sachs adjustable monoshock. A masculine 30-litre fuel tank further gives it an extended range of 450kms.

Powering the Multistrada 1200 Enduro is the same Euro 4-compliant Ducati Testastretta engine with DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) which powers the other Multistrada 1200 models. The 1198.4cc, liquid-cooled, L-twin motor makes 160PS at 9,500rpm and delivers a torque of 136Nm at just 7,500 rpm. The bike further gets four riding modes to select from -- Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro -- so you can adjust the engine behaviour as per your requirements.

The bike features most of the advanced technologies that come with a high-end motorcycle, including Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ride by Wire system, Ducati Wheelie Control and the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) Evolution. The full-TFT display on the bike shows each and every information about your machine and the Ducati Multimedia System lets riders connect their smartphones to the bike via Bluetooth and answer calls, listen to music and record the ride data and share it on social networks.

Further enhancing your comfort during rides, the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro gets Cruise Control, Hands-Free ignition and back-lit handlebar switches. The Ducati Cornering Lights illuminate the road on corner entry, making turns safer, and the bike also features a Vehicle Hold Control system that holds the braking and assists uphill starts or when the bike is fully loaded.
