Ducati has announced it will launch two electric scooters internationally in June 2020
- The Ducati Scrambler Cross E electric scooter is an off-road themed one.
- The Ducati Pro II, on the other hand, is a road-biased electric scooter.
- The brand will launch two more electric scooters and three foldable e-bikes in the future.
Ducati has announced that it will introduce a line of electric two-wheelers meant for urban mobility in partnership with Italian distributor, MT Distribution. The lineup will include four electric scooters and three folding e-bikes under the Ducati, Ducati Corse and Ducati Scrambler range. Among these, two electric scooters: Cross-E and Pro II, will be launched internationally on June 20 and July 6, 2020, respectively.
The Italian manufacturer says that to make the folding electric bikes, Ducati Design Centre collaborated with legendary Italian design house Italdesign. Coming back to the scooters, they aren’t conventional ones like the Bajaj Chetak. These e-scooters are meant strictly for urban runabouts and are designed like one too.

Like its name suggests, the Ducati Scrambler Cross-E is an off-road themed electric scooter. It comes with a fat 110-section, 6.5-inch anti puncture tubeless tyres. To match its off-road-centric character, it also gets a rugged wavy floorboard. This electric scooter is powered by a 500W (continuous power) electric motor linked to a 375Wh battery. At an average speed of 15kmph, the battery will last up to 30-35km. It also comes with three riding modes, dual LED headlamps, a tail lamp and even a 3.5-inch LCD display.
On the other hand, the Ducati Pro II packs a smaller brushless DC motor which generates a continuous power of 350W and a range of 25-30km. It features a flat floorboard and for optimum comfort, there’s a rear suspension too. The scooter rolls on slightly larger 10-inch puncture-proof tubeless tyres. Like the Ducati Scrambler Cross E, this one too gets a disc brake on both ends and a 3.5-inch display.
Ducati says the folding electric bicycles will be launched in the coming weeks. They are claimed to pack a battery that’s completely hidden inside the frame, an underseat-mounted tail light and a light-sensitive action to control the headlamp and tail light. More details about the electric bicycles will be announced soon.
