From new styling to improved electronics, the SuperSport 950 has certainly upped its game for 2021
After getting its flagships -- the Panigale V4 and Multistrada V4 -- to India, Ducati has now launched the 2021 SuperSport 950 in the country. The base variant is priced at Rs 13.49 lakh while the SuperSport S costs Rs 15.49 lakh and Rs 15.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), for the red and white colours, respectively. This makes the 2021 SuperSport Rs 1.4 lakh pricier than its BS4 model.
At this price, the SuperSport 950 goes head on against the newly launched Aprilia RS 660. Meanwhile, you can also consider the Honda CBR650R (which undercuts it by a massive Rs 4.61 lakh) or the Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX (which makes considerably more power while still undercutting the SuperSport).
That out of the way, let’s see what the bike packs now. The most noticeable change for 2021 comes to the design; it is now in line with Ducati’s new V4 lineup, featuring a new radical fascia and sleek brow-type DRLs along with new, more muscular fairings. The visor, too, is new and gets two-step adjustability.

Complementing the design is a new 4.3-inch TFT display packed with a new IMU-based electronics suite, including cornering ABS, traction control, three riding modes( Urban, Touring, and Sports), and wheelie control. A bi-directional quickshifter comes standard on the new SuperSport.
The 2021 SuperSport continues to be powered by the same Testastretta 937cc engine, which now meets Euro-5/BS6 norms, thanks to a new aluminium exhaust system. It still churns out 110PS and 93Nm, though.
The engine is housed in a split trellis frame. In the base variant, the chassis is sprung on a fully adjustable Marzocchi USD fork and an adjustable Sachs monoshock. On the other hand, the S variant features fully adjustable Ohlins units at both ends. To help cut speed, the SuperSport 950 employs twin 320mm discs with Brembo M4 calipers at the front coupled to a single 245mm disc also clamped by a Brembo caliper.
