The flagship Italian ADV will lock horns with the recently launched BMW R 1250 GS
Following the launch of the Ducati Panigale V4 and Ducati Streetfighter V4, the Multistrada V4 will grace our shores on July 22. The Italian marque has already commenced bookings for its flagship ADV at dealerships for a token of Rs 1 lakh.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 is likely to be launched in two variants: Standard (available in Ducati Red) and S (available in Aviator Grey). In a typical Ducati fashion, the Multistrada comes armed with a full suite of electronics, including cornering ABS, wheelie control, traction control, and vehicle hold control, all managed by a new 6-axis inertial measurement unit. Besides, you have the semi-active Skyhook suspension that tweaks itself according to the terrain. Of course, the highlight of the bike is the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) that uses the radar at the front and rear to modulate speed.

The V4 engine from the Panigale and the Streetfighter finds its way into the Multistrada too. Now called the Granturismo V4, the 1158cc engine with tweaked internals belts out 170PS at 10,500rpm and 125Nm at 8750rpm. For more details on the fourth-gen Multistrada, read this story.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 20 lakh and lock horns with the recently launched Bavarian globetrotter, the BMW R 1250 GS, and the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250.
