Ducati is all set to launch its Scrambler range in India tomorrow. While the bikemaker will launch the Icon, Cafe Racer and Desert Sled tomorrow, the Full Throttle variant will be launched later this year. For 2019, the motorcycles get a range of cosmetic revisions as well as mechanical updates.
For starters, the bikes get an ‘X’ logo on the headlamp, self-cancelling LED turn indicators, machine-finished alloy wheels and an updated instrument cluster, which now displays extra information such as gear position and fuel level. The 2019 models also feature updated switchgear, adjustable levers and an optional Ducati Multimedia System. That’s not all though. To further enhance the aesthetic appeal of the bikes, Ducati has equipped the 2019 Scrambler range with a new muffler, a new seat and new interchangeable side panels for the fuel tank.

On the mechanical front, the Scramblers will be powered by the same 803cc air-cooled L-twin motor as the outgoing models. The engine produces 74PS and 67Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. However, the most important update for the 2019 Scrambler range comes in the form of cornering ABS which should improve safety while cornering and hydraulic clutch actuation for lighter lever action. Also, Ducati says that it has tweaked the suspension settings on the Scramblers to improve ride quality.
Prices of the updated Scrambler range will be unveiled tomorrow at the launch, and we expect it to command a premium of around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 over the current range. At present, prices of the Scrambler range start from Rs 7.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
