The Italian motorcycle maker Ducati has started taking bookings for two of its iconic machines - the XDiavel and the Multistrada Enduro. Both the motorcycles can be booked with a token amount Rs. 1 lac and the deliveries are expected to commence from July 2016.
The Ducati Multistrada Enduro is taking the legacy of the 1200S with a more comprehensive set of mechanical and technical updates. The bike runs on rugged wire spoke wheels with Pirelli tyres to improve its off-road potential. Even the suspension setup of the motorcycle has been raised up in order to make it suitable for all types of terrains. This off-roader is powered by an 1198cc Testastretta DVT L-twin power plant that churns out 160bhp of power and 136Nm of peak torque.
The Ducati XDiavel, on the other hand, is based on the company's Diavel cruiser motorcycle. The XDiavel has been built around a brand new steel tubular trellis frame with a single-sided swingarm. The ergonomics of the motorcycle have been revised to offer a more laid-back riding position. The Ducati XDiavel is propelled by a 1262cc Testastretta L-Twin powertrain that produces 155bhp of power and a peak torque of 129Nm. Other important features of the motorcycle include cornering ABS, traction control, riding modes and a launch control system.
Both the motorcycles will come to India as CBU units and will be sold alongside their standard models. Unfortunately, Ducati haven’t given any hint as to the price of the new motorcycles.
