A Ducati Supersport in your garage for a nearly 16 times lesser price
The Ducati Supersport is hands down one of the most beautiful bikes in the world. Its gorgeous design with exciting, yet accessible performance, makes it an extremely desirable motorcycle. But all of it obviously comes at a price, which makes it a not-so-affordable bike. So, what if we tell you that you could own this ‘Ducati Supersport’ for anywhere between 850-1,280 USD (approximately Rs 67k-1 lakh). Sounds like a dream come true, right?
Well, the bike that we’re talking about is the RZM250H-11 (yes, that really is its name) from Chinese bikemaker Z-Motos. While performance is key with Ducati’s motorcycles, the 223cc engine on the RZM making 16.3PS and 18.3Nm doesn’t sound enticing at all. To give you context, the KTM 200 Duke makes 1Nm and a colossal 8.7PS more while having a displacement handicap. The claimed top speed of the bike is 115kmph.
Among modern bits like all-LED Lighting, disc brakes with a radial front caliper and a rather neatly-integrated USB charging port, the bike gets a rather dated semi-digital instrument console.
Underpinnings on the bike include 17-inch wheels at both ends with a 110-section tyre at the front and 150-section at the rear. A massive 17-litre fuel tank combined with a claimed fuel efficiency of 31.25kmpl should give you a range of more than 500km on a tankful.
The RZM250H-11 is likely to be limited to China and will definitely not be coming to India. So if you’re looking for a sub-300cc sportbike, you could have a look at the Yamaha R15 V4, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the KTM RC 200.
